Aldeburgh Mutton Week 2017

Now in its third year, this event is a happy collaboration between ourselves and local sheep farmer Jason Gathorne-Hardy, of the nearby Alde Valley.

‘Mutton is a traditional and very underrated English meat. It has a wonderful, characterful taste that is intensified by a good, long hanging. It’s a real pleasure to work with local, small-scale producers and shout about this forgotten meat together.’

Aldeburgh Mutton Week (11 - 19 February) is a heartfelt attempt to bring mutton produced on local, small-scale Suffolk farms to a wider audience. This year our mutton is produced at White House Farm, Great Glemham – from sheep extensively farmed on the lush and unspoilt meadows of the Alde Valley.

It can be bought online or ordered by calling 01728 452758 and can be delivered nationwide.  Alternatively, if you live nearby, why not come along to one of the Mutton Week events:
