Despite their national acclaim, they’re wonderfully local to us, meaning we have a long-standing, trusted relationship with founder and farmer Belinda who started Sutton Hoo Chicken over 30 years ago with her late husband Charles. Raised slowly on 40 acres of lush meadow near the historic River Deben, these chickens enjoy a truly free-range life of sunshine, open pasture, and a naturally rich diet, resulting in meat that’s tender, succulent, and full of authentic flavour - just like chicken used to taste.
