We get our delicious local asparagus from local farmer Bruce Kerr, whose farm at nearby Blaxhall has the most perfect light soil for growing asparagus. We look forward to its arrival every April, and the first bunches are now in. These beautiful bright green spears are the harbinger of summer for me, and Bruce’s asparagus really is the best I have ever tasted.
