This box includes selected cuts from our 'Pasture for Life' Iken heifer.
This Lincoln Red heifer has grazed for its whole life with the Yarn Hill Herd on the meadows and marshes at Iken, next to the River Alde. The Yarn Hill Herd is certified under the National 'Pasture for Life' accreditation scheme.
We have been hanging the carcass for three weeks, we like to hang the heifers for a little less than normal, it’s now just about perfect.
As well as the prime cuts such as sirloin, rump and rib, the braising steak and the mincemeat really are outstanding, with an extra layer of flavour that a lifetime on grass brings to the meat.
For simplicity, we’ve put together a 'Selected' meat box - a really great selection of fantastic grass fed beef.
- A big fat rump steak (800g) – feeds 4
- 2 x 10oz sirloin steaks
- 1kg steak mince
- 1 kg braising steak in good sized-chunks
- 10 x 6oz Steak Burgers
- 1 pot Horseradish
- 1 pot of Drippin' (make some chips with this!)
